This was the first of ten National Jazz Co-ordination Newsletters, which preceded JazzChord. JazzChord was published in magazine form, commencing in January/February, 1993. 53 editions of JazzChord were published subsequently, with the last edition being the Apr/May edition in 2002. This newsletter was designed to circulate essential information to key people in the Australian jazz world. Essential information included (a) Information acquired by myself in the course of co-ordination activities, and which I felt would be helpful to others; (b) Information acquired by the jazz co-ordinators in Tas, SA and WA which they believed should be circulated; (c) Information on my own activities which should be widely known; and (d) Information on the activities of other jazz co-ordinators which is especially significant or newsworthy…
