I had mixed feelings about this concert, presented by the Festival of Sydney. It took place in The Neilson on Pier 2/3, an excellent venue for jazz, and which appeared to be sold-out. It was highly successful, particularly if you share the common view that the arbiter of success in such a concert is a standing ovation. For a long time Sydney singer Gregg Arthur has had the ambition to present his music in the concert hall.
